The original Somerset facility was purchased in 2002 with a capacity of 3000 metric tonnes. In 2005, additional storage was added to bring the total capacity to 9000 metric tonnes. Somerset siding is serviced by SMNR (Southern Manitoba Railway) and CNR (Canadian National Railway).

This location handles CWB grains as well as a variety of non-board feed products and oilseeds. The staff are experienced in CWB contracting and completing CWB and CCGA advances.
